Corner Shot, Live Painting Performance with Klub 7
Posted by michael | July 6th, 2011On the 1st of July 2011, Klub 7 celebrated the publishing of the first book about their art-collective at Schaufenster, a gallery for contemporary art in Kreuzberg. Klub 7 invited us to join in for a collaborational live Printing/Painting-Session at the opening. We both enjoyed the contrasts between our physical computing and Klub 7′s fine manual skills.
All evening we felt like beeing part of this Stylebattle of RUN DMC and Aerosmith in ‘Walk this Way’. When we all stepped back to see were we ended up, Diskorobot from Klub7 said: “To me that’s grafitti in 2011!”. Let’s go back to the future.
Cheshire Cat, Warsaw
Posted by michael | June 27th, 2011It was our old collegue Michael Okraj from designerdeutsch who brought us to our first printing-action in Poland. For Goethe-Institut Warszawie he curated the exibition ’Design in Aktion’ in Mokotowska Street, Warsaw. On 9th of June we performed at the opening in a beautiful backyard.

Thank you very much Katarzyna Bialousz for organising this exibition so perfectly.
ELECTRIC, a Workshop with Apparatjik
Posted by michael | May 31st, 2011From 23th to 27th of May 2011, Sonice Development was invited to join the workshop ‘ELECTRIC’ at Burg Giebichenstein, University of Art and Design in Halle. An amazing recipy for 5 days: car-parts, the band Apparatjik, SOME art-design-magazine, Proessor Sven Voelker, a handful of extremly motivated students and us. Alltogether we were looking for an interpretation of Moholy Nagy’s artwork ‘Light-Space-Modulator’. Professor Sven Voelker and his Students release the SOME-Magazine twice a year. The next issue will deal with the topic ‘ELECTRIC’ and show the workshop and it’s results. Here you see a preview.
Magne Furholmen and Jonas Bjerre from Apparatjik gave a short lecture on the first day. Reporting about their ways of working together as a band, about their gig at Neue Nationalgallerie Berlin and about quantum physics.
Brainstorming, discussing, trying out and finally choosing the ways to go: We´ll build a rotopainter, a water-light-experiment-box, a complex shadow arrangement of car-parts and some poems.
‘Electric Dream’. “We’ll be together– together in electric dreams.”, quote taken from the movie-picture ‘Bladerunner’. Machine-parts having the ambition of being beautiful and human.
‘Multi Aqua Dimensionator’ a kinetic Light-Sculpure after Moholy-Nagy’s Light-Space-Modulator. The sculpture, its shadow and and its reflection show a synchronised multiplication of the moving water. Like a magnifier it gives us the chance to see.
